Neighbourhood
This area of Hydra is quiet and most of the houses are only active in the summer months. The properties from the Hamlet of Vlychos, approximately 800 meters from this property (heading east back to Hydra Town), to the beach at Plakes, are all spaced out along either side of this part of the coast road.
In Vlychos itself, there are a number of year-around, full-time residents and 2 of the other properties along this stretch are also fully occupied year around.
While the Bellevalia restaurant and beach business closes for the winter, the caretaker is in residence. And of course, many people take even more pleasure in walking the coast road during the cooler months to take advantage of our wonderful warm winter days to enjoy a swim.
For supplies, you will need to get to know and build a good relationship with a sea taxi driver (I can recommend a few) who can bring your weekly shopping to the jetty below the house. Then you will find you get into the habit of always having a study fold up bag with you to bring ad-hoc items home with you.

A lot of house with a lot of potential. Well-built and intelligently laid out. I highly recommend early viewing.
The current configuration can easily be adapted to keep the ground level as a guest/staff apartment, but join the top two levels to make one large home with 5 bedrooms and just one sitting room and kitchen.
